Close to the hotel de La Corderie Royale, along the Charente river, in the double drydock belonging to the histirocal maritime arsenal, the replica of the Hermione frigate, a largethre-masted ship of the XVIIth century, is being rebuilt. This wonderful challenge, rebuilding an historical replica of the original frigate is a living show place open every day to visitors.
